Ball mills are suitable for grinding various ores and other materials and are widely used in the mineral processing, building materials, and chemical industries. They can be operated in either dry or wet grinding modes. Based on the discharge method, they are classified as grid-type and overflow-type mills. According to the shape of the mill shell, they are further categorized into short-tube ball mills, long-tube ball mills, tube mills, and conical mills.
